JUNE 2023: My novel CATHEDRAL is available in bookshops in the UK and the USA and from online retailers internationally. See the "Books" page on this website for reviews and more details.
My script FUZE - an action movie/thriller for director David Mackenzie and Sigma Films... has attracted much interest and is now out in search of cast.
Work continues on pre-pre-production research for VATAN (FATHERLAND) - a biopic that takes in much of recent Turkish and German history, co-written with Atilla Oener. We are researching the possibilities for production, financing, casting etc. with producer Roshi Behesht Nedjad of In Good Company, Leipzig.
INSIDE, the film whose screenplay I wrote for Heretic Films in Greece and for director Vasilis Katsoupis, has been released in the USA and other countries by Focus. It stars Willem Dafoe.
LIMONOV, a screenplay I wrote with Pawel Pawlikowski and Kirill Serebrennikov is in post-production, starring Ben Whishaw and directed by Serebrennikov.
My last new novel, GHOSTS. has failed to find a publisher, which is very disappointing. Meanwhile I've started work on a further novel, set in the 17th Century Ottoman Empire. It should take some years to write, I fear.
